Community tourism

According to Law 292 "Bolivia is waiting for you" (2012), the community tourism in Bolivia is regarded as a management model involving a direct business entrepreneurship – community relation with visitors within a plurinational and intercultural perspective. Thanks to community tourism, trips can be organized with the consensual participation of community members, this ensuring the good management of natural resources and the valorization of the cultural and territorial heritage of the nations and people groups as well as a fair sharing of generated revenues.

As a consequence, from an intercultural point of view community tourism also represents an opportunity for the different stakeholders to know and fairly recognize each other, with their traditions and customs, knowledge and competencies, language, know-how and technology.
